Spring Weekend 2018
Our Spring Walking Break next year will take place from Sunday 8th to Friday 13th April, 2018. It will be based at the Best Western Limpley Stoke Hotel which overlooks the Avon Valley just outside Bath.
The cost is £335 per person with a single supplement of £80.
5 nights dinner, bed and breakfast
Picnic lunches on 4 days: Monday – Thursday
A drinks reception on the first evening.
The holiday will be organised by Bath and West Country Walks which is owned by Graham and Sue Robinson who will lead a long and a short walk each day from Monday to Thursday. Graham and Sue know this area very well and their knowledge of local places of interest should greatly enhance our stay.
There are many places of interest to visit locally in addition to those we will see during the walks. As well as the beautiful city of Bath, for example, there is the American Museum at Claverton Manor and the Jane Austen Centre. Local NT properties include Dyrham Manor with its 17th century house and beautiful park and gardens, Lacock Abbey and village and the Fox Talbot Museum. You might not have heard of Lacock village but may well recognise it as the location for several films and TV programmes such as Downton Abbey, Wolf Hall, the BBC’s Pride and Prejudice and several Harry Potter films.
Ask any of our members who have taken part in previous walking breaks and they will tell you that they are immensely enjoyable with excellent accommodation and food, friendly company and the chance to explore some of the most beautiful scenery in the country. Our last 3 breaks sold out quickly and had waiting lists. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
Places will be allocated on a ‘first come first served’ basis. Priority will be given to members of the West Herts Ramblers Group. Non-walking partners are welcome.
A booking form has been sent to all West Herts Group members if you have not received one or have a question related to the weekend click here to send an email to the organiser.
